நாட்டின் தற்போதைய சூழ்நிலையில் எரிபொருள் நுகர்வைக் குறைப்பதற்காகப் பாடசாலைகளை நடாத்துவதை மட்டுப்படுத்துவதற்கு அரசாங்கம் இதுவரை எந்தத் தீர்மானமும் எடுக்கவில்லை என அமைச்சர் வைத்தியர் நளிந்த ஜயதிஸ்ஸ தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
எரிபொருள் விலை அதிகரிப்பு தொடர்பாக இன்று (22) நடைபெற்ற ஊடகவியலாளர் சந்திப்பில் கலந்துகொண்டு கருத்துத் தெரிவிக்கையிலேயே அமைச்சர் இதனைக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
திட்டமிட்டபடி முதலாம் பாடசாலை தவணை ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 10ஆம் திகதியுடன் நிறைவடையவுள்ளது. அதுவரை புதன்கிழமைகளில் மாத்திரம் பாடசாலைகளுக்கு விடுமுறை வழங்கப்படவுள்ளதாக அமைச்சர் தெரிவித்தார். சாதாரண தரம் மற்றும் உயர்தரப் பரீட்சைகள் தொடர்பாக கடந்த காலங்களில் நிலவிய நிச்சயமற்ற நிலைமை ஆசிரியர்களுக்கும் மாணவர்களுக்கும் பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியிருந்ததால், வாரத்தில் 4 நாட்களாவது பாடசாலைகளை நடாத்த எதிர்பார்ப்பதாக அமைச்சர் மேலும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
